Quality packaging

We've sent close to two thousand pieces of glass around New Zealand and the world. We pack really, really carefully. Everything is double-boxed.  So far, only one has arrived broken.

Postage (and insurance if required) is at cost. Feel free to ask before you make your decision to buy.  We don't charge for packaging time or materials.  We try to use recycled packaging materials, both to keep the costs down and because it's better for the planet.

Shipping within New Zealand

Within New Zealand we use a courier service which costs us $5.55 to send most pieces around the country. The largest pieces might cost $8.80. Everything is insured to $1000. For items worth more than $1000, we'd make separate insurance arrangements.  Note that when signing for a courier delivery, write "subject to inspection" after your signature.  If you sign for a piece without adding this phrase, but find the glass broken when you unwrap it, you will find that you have waived your rights to claim insurance.  A box which took 30 minutes to pack may take close to that to unpack so the courier is likely to be long gone by the time you find that there is damage.  Of course, as I've said above, only one piece that we have packed has ever arrived broken. 

New Zealand GST

For sales to New Zealand customers, all prices include New Zealand Goods & Services Tax.  Most of our New Zealand competitors are amateurs or, in any case, are not paying tax.  Rather than charging extra to our loyal New Zealand customers, (and thus making our prices less competitive) we just bear the cost of it as a business expense.

Shipping from New Zealand to the rest of the world

When shipping from New Zealand to the rest of the world, we use New Zealand Post.  It's not the fastest option, but it's the cheapest.  If you want a piece quicker, we can arrange other methods.  Insurance is available for parcels which go missing.

Shipping from Sweden

Much of our stock is in Sweden with the wonderful and talented Pernilla.  She ships via Sweden Post.  They have a good track and trace system and reasonably fast delivery.  All items are insured to SEK3000 (approximately US$410 or EUR320 or GBP220).  Extra insurance can be purchased cheaply if required.
