ITALIAN GLASS - CENTURY 20 - book by Leslie Pina - For New Zealand only
With 1000 pieces in 700 colour photos, this is probably the most useful book on Italian glass available at the moment.
It's Professor Leslie Pina's latest. She simply knows more than she knew when she wrote the earlier ones. She's a lot more specific about which workshop made the pieces she shows. As in her other books, she gives a guide as to price (which we don't always agree with, but it's still useful to have.)
It's a new book. We got it from one of our suppliers in the US. (Overseas viewers should note that this is a listing primarily for our loyal New Zealand customers who helped us get started in this business. Many of the most useful imported glass books are extremely expensive and difficult to obtain in New Zealand so we've imported some copies of this one to help people out. If you're based in, say, the US, and you like F. Toso, you should own this book but buy it locally, not from us.)

2. Bottles and decanters
3. Bowls, plates and ashtrays
4. Drinkware and tableware
5. Figural, novelty and lighting
Other chapters give summaries of key producers, designers, and show labels and signatures. The glossary explains and generally shows pictures of various techniques.
