1940s copper and gold Barovier & Toso art glass fruit salad set and 4.7kg platter!

This is very fancy glassmaking. The 4.7kg bowl is simply magnificent with its perfect contours. The pink with gold is very similar to the conchiglia (shell) compote on p215 of Leslie Pina's Italian Glass: Century 20 (see scanned picture). She says this was designed by Ercole Barovier and exhibited in the 1940 Venice Biennale and values it at US$5000-$6000. So we're not being greedy with a price of US$1000. The fruit is blown glass, white glass with copper powder in various patterns and clear glass on top. Some of the pieces have gold leaf in their leaves or stems.
