Heavy Bo Borgstrom 1960s Aseda vase #1
Borgstrom was the main designer for Aseda Glassworks after 1960. His work is not as expensive as that of Lindstrand, Warff, Morales-Schildt, and the like, but is becoming sought after by collectors and is rising in price (as is all Swedish mid-century glass). This piece, one of two we have, was designed in the late 50s or early 60s. If you look at the close-ups you'll see that the pattern is doubled over itself at the top. Note also the weight of glass in the vase - small but very heavy.
His work was rarely signed, but often labelled with Svensk Form, Bo Borgstrom, Aseda. This piece has a partial label.
