Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta art glass elephant

This is an outstanding find - a stylised Vicke Lindstand elephant with applied ears and tusks, for Kosta. It's a very classy beast. We own a lot of Lindstrand and see a lot more, but we've never seen one like this before.

Width: 8cm

Weight: 1.3kg

Condition: Outstanding. A handful of very light scratches and scuffs, also two little internal cracks in the base, in the join between two of the feet, one of 1mm and one of nearly 3mm (see picture).  We mention these in the interests of thoroughness, but they do not detract.  They could only have occurred in manufacture, when the glass was being ground and polished, and were either not seen or not considered significant.  The piece was certainly not marked as a second.
