Rare Vicke Lindstrand 1950s heavy - 3kg - clear vase with dark purple stripe

The person who sold us this vase wondered if it was unique. It's not, but it's one of the rarer Lindstrand designs. We've held onto it for the last 18 months, looking for other sizes in the same design, but aside from another reputable dealer who's selling the 23cm version for US$3200. we've seen nothing.

It's similar to the Lindstrand-designed Kontur vases, but much heavier-based and more impressive . This uses a simpler form of the underlay technique that you see in the famous Trees in fog vases. The model number is 1417 which would have been designed in the mid to late 50s. The design is included in the 1959 Kosta catalogue.

Condition: some scratches to the flat part of the base, some tiny unitended bubbles, a few light scratches
