51cm tall very rare Antonio da Ros heron sculpture for Cenedese

The Lindstrand elephant is lovely but this Antonio da Ros heron is a show-stopper. This is a very big and very rare figurine of a heron designed around 1955 with a ribbon of black glass down the centre and a counterbalancing ball of black glass in the base. It's very weighty in the base, as is necessary for such a tall, thin piece. We've managed to transport this delicate piece around the world, but I don\'t think there will have been many of these that have survived the last 50 years.
