Signed 1980s Ehrner KOSTA art glass vase

This is a heavy sommerso vase - on the interior there is a thin layer of gorgeous opaque blue, something a bit paler than cobalt or midnight blue. It's hard to describe (and all computer terminals are slightly different) .

The exterior is extremely heavy clear crystal. This has the effect of reflecting the light which falls on the flat top rim. It is really beautiful. The base is signed Kosta Ehrner 48578. Anna Ehrner was born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1948. She studied at the National college of Art, Craft and Design there from 1968 to 1973. Since 1974 she has worked as a designer for Kosta and Kosta Boda.
