Labelled Monica Bratt 1940s/1950s facet-cut vase for Reijmyre
BUYER COMMENT: "Thanks again for your role in bringing this vase and me together! I know its aesthetics will continue to give me pleasure for a long time."
This bears the Reijmyre label and a knowledgeable customer tells us it's a Monica Bratt design. She was the design director for Reijmyre from 1937 to 1958. At this price it's a steal.
It's not the same as all the Italian facet-cut vases. This, like the Mona Morales-Schildt pieces is a little different and special. It's stark and dramatic. The cuts in the thick glass reveal the clear glass. It reminds me of a skyscraper that allows you to see in the windows but not see much. It's model H103. This one has a Reijmyre label.
It also has similarities to 1960s Pavel Hlava signed Exbor Czechoslovakian art glass vase with cut glass windows.
