Signed Paul Kedelv for Reijmyre 'Harlekin' vase

This is beautiful design - a wonderful blend of colours, masses of clear crystal over a pointed root of purple, and a flowing shape. This is by Swedish glass designer Paul Kedelv. Some people will be familiar with the wild and wonderful work he did for Swedish glassmakers Flygsfors (see http://www.modernistglass.com/glasspieces/search/kedelv).

This is what he did after he left Flygsfors in 1956 for another Swedish glassmaker, Reijmyre. If you know Kedelv's work for Flygsfors you'll see that this is a progression from his earlier work.

Condition: Excellent. Moderate wear to the base, a handful of fine scratches around the outside.
