1950s pinstriped Swedish vase
I've listed a few Lindstrand Kosta pieces with lines in them in the last few days. Here's a piece to show what some of the lesser Swedish makers can do with stripes. This is not signed or labelled but is probably from a firm such as Glimma Glasbruk or Smalandshyttan. It's quite a nice piece - a few manufacturing marks, and the clear glass is not quite as clear as a Kosta or Flygsfors or Stromberg or Orrefors, but it's not bad. It's double sommerso, with a blue layer then the pinstripe layer, then lots of clear glass. If your budget has to stay under $100, perhaps this is the piece for you. However, at risk of putting people off buying this, I'd recommend that you save up your pennies and buy a quality Lindstrand version. Better to own one expensive, high quality piece than lots of lesser ones.

Width: 8cm
