Signed set of Finnish Pertti Santalahti bowls

Most of the glass we sell is the work of very talented designers, so if we can't take beautiful photos of it, it's generally our fault; we can't see the beauty that they were trying to create.  This is a good example.  Finally, after numerous attempts, I think our photos do these pieces justice.  They were too big and too many to look right on the shelves where we usually take our pictures.  Displayed on one piece of furniture with some light behind them, you can see the colours, the bark-like texture, and the shape of the rim of the large bowl. 

These bowls, designed by Pertti Santalahti for Finnish glassmakers Hummpila, are shown in Pina and Vigier's book, Scandinavian Art Glass 1930-2000: Fire and Sea. They are big and textured, with two layers of colour - brown and yellow. 

They value them at US$75 for each of the two smaller bowls.  The big bowl isn't shown in the book.  Of course a set is worth more than the value of three individual pieces.
