Bengt Orup art glass set of 10 pieces (+ bonus piece) for Johansfors

As I've said repeatedly on this site, sets of art glass have advantages in terms of both display and investment. With 10 pieces, this is a special set; it has 4 vases, a jug, a carafe, 2 mugs, a candlestick holder, and a bowl. A number of the pieces have Johansfors labels.

Interestingly, we already owned a piece in this series - a 13 inch vase with a fake Vicke Lindstrand signature that we bought off eBay early in our collecting career. We didn't want to sell it with a fake signature so it has sat in a corner for years as a reminder to us to be more careful next time. We'll remove or deface the signature and throw in this vase as a bonus for whoever buys this set, so it will be an 11 piece set. The last picture show this vase with some of the other pieces.

From 1951 to 1963, Bengt Orup was a designer, and later director, at Swedish glassmakers, Johansfors. This series is probably from the 1950s. He also designed on a freelance basis for Hyllinge glasbruk, and we have one of these designs available at Bengt Orup bowl with metal particles for Hyllinge
