Signed SALVIATI MURANO art glass dog

Salviati was one of the leading mid-century Murano glassmakers. This piece is signed. Heiremans' "Murano Glass: Themes and Variations" tells us that this style of signature was introduced in the late 60s and used throughout the 1980s, but only for "artistic production". See also:
