Signed Bengt Edenfalk engraved vase for Skruf
Every picture tells a story. Here, the mother and child on one side of the vase, standing on the shore next to the fishing nets, wave goodbye to the ship engraved on the other side of the vase. It's signed, Edenfalk Skruf. Bengt Edenfalk was art director at Swedish glassmaker, Skruf, from 1953 to 1978, when he moved to Kosta. He changed Skruf from a utility ware manufacturer to a genuine force in art glass.
Height: 12.5cm (5 inches)
Width: 8.5cm (3.25 inches)
Depth: 4.5cm
Weight: 750g
Condition: Excellent. There is no water staining which indicates the vase was never used for flowers. The Skruf foil label has fallen off but could be reattached. There is a tiny nibble 1mm x 0.5mm on one corner( see enlarged photo). Almost no wear to the base. This has been well looked after.
