Signed 1955 Gunnar Nylund shark tooth vase - Strombergs finest hour?

This piece would make a wonderful set with the slightly smaller vase Signed STROMBERGSHYTTAN Gunnar Nylund circa 1955 shark tooth vase
I think many people would say that this is their favourite Stromberg design (but see Signed 1960s Asta Stromberg and Rune Strand Strombergshyttan cut and engraved 3kg bowl for another wonderful piece in a different style.) Flattened and slightly bulbous cylindrical forms with asymmetrical rims, with off-centre and graded smoky brown glass underlays, heavily cased in clear glass. Pina & Vigier (in Smoke & Ice: Scandinavian Glass 1930-2000) value these at US$350-US$425 depending on size (with theirs ranging from 25cm-30cm in height.)

Condition: excellent - some scratches and two 1mm fleabites on the base, a 1mm mark on the side from manufacture, two 3mm scratches, a 8mm x 1cm fairly light scuffmark close to the rim
