Kosta Ann and Goran Warff 1960s paperweight/sculpture
The first picture shows the way Goran and Ann Warff wanted their window-cut pieces to be viewed - looking directly into the window, like looking into a clear crystal pool with the cut and polished base reflecting up. This is a heavy (2kg) 6 inch tall piece, similar in many ways to other Warff pieces we've sold - a combination of a textured surface, window-cut, and, in this case, with the mass of bubbles that we've seen in some of their other 1960s work. See, for example, the last picture on this listing or

For those of you who are buying with an eye to investment, we think that the work of the Warffs is bound to appreciate. This is bold, innovative, glass art by a couple who achieved great things together in the 1960s. They were jointly awarded the Lunning Prize - the Nobel prize of Scandinavian design - in 1968. Sadly, they divorced in 1972.
