Signed Gunnel Sahlin Kosta Boda 'Artist Collection' platter

This is a piece that says "things don't always split down the middle."  The designer plays with circles and curves.  The platter is nearly a circle but not quite, and the hypnotic, psychodelic swirls look to be going in circles but don't.   Despite all these curves, the piece ends up with a distinct division into two halves and a front and a back.  How did she do that without any straight lines?  It's clever design. 

Gunnel Sahlin was a designer at Kosta Boda from 1986 until 1998, so this is another piece from the 1980s or 90s.  From 1999 to 2004 she was Professor of Ceramics and Glass at the Swedish National College of Craft, Art and Design. 

This is a bigger, heavier piece than the previous one, signed by a big name modern designer, and much more complex in design.  For these reasons it's more expensive but in my opinion, (for what it's worth), still a bargain.

Condition: light wear to the base, a few tiny fleabites or scuffs along the rim of the base, a few 1mm unintended bubbles, some light small scratches (longest 3mm)
