Other Swedish and Italian firms made tall vases with white stripes, but no-one copied Vicke Lindstrand's small bowls, like this one.  A bowl like this, but in green, was probably the first Lindstrand piece we bought and fell in love with.  So we think they're special, but of course we may be biased.  :-)

The stripes are a form of sommerso, as the Muranese inventors of the technique called it.  So in this case, there is a blue sommerso layer, then clear glass, then the white stripes, then more clear crystal.

Engraved "Lindstrand" to the base
Condition: aside from a 1mm x 2mm fleabite to the edge of the base, no wear at all underneath, a few scratches elsewhere (longest 1.2cm)
