1950s Murano Sommerso duck with lamp on its head

Our motto is "we only sell beautiful glass" so we don't usually sell kitsch, but we couldn't go past this fantastic 1940s or 1950s Murano duck lampshade, still with an old shade, presumably original.  The duck is a quality piece of glass, with brown and blue sommerso, cased in clear glass.  Certainly a talking point and a half in any home.

Height: 20 cm (8 inches) (with fitting 10.25 inches, and 13.5 inches including shade)
Width: 9.5 cm
Weight: 710 g

Condition: almost no wear at all to the base (marks from felt dots underneath), a couple of unintended bubbles (largest 4mm), a few scuffs and scratches (longest 5mm).  Shade sold as is.  Buyers should have the lamp checked by an electrician before using.
