Rare signed Flygsfors 1955 Kedelv folded bowl
This bowl is folded over so that when you look through the bowl from the side you see the organic 'camoflage' pattern four times. This pattern has been made by the sommerso technique, similar to the Trees in Fog design of Lindstrand. The olive-coloured pattern was probably created by tipping that colour over the blown bubble and allowing it to create its own patterns. It has then been cased with more clear glass before the top of the bubble was pushed in to form the inside of the bowl.
There is air between the two layers of the bowl, and at the base where the blower's pipe will have been attached, there is a hole with a ground and polished rim, through which you can put your finger and touch the inner layer. This is likely to be a piece that will interest collectors of Flygsfors or Kedelv. It's certainly rare; we've never seen anything like it from him, and little similar from anyone else.
