1950s Vicke Lindstrand Kosta signed bowl

Continuing with the Vicke Lindstrand theme, this Kosta piece is part of the Dark Magic series. The base shows heavy wear, which isn't ideal of course, and this is reflected in the price.  That's what 60 years of being moved around on furniture does; this was a much loved ashtray, not a piece of art.  It's a testiment to the strength of the design that it survived so well. and in such otherwise good condition.  The centre of the base is ground and polished concave, as was done at many of the better firms, to make that part of the base, at least, hard to scratch.

Engraved "Kosta LH 1609" and a "W" to the base (W proably stands for Wettergrens, a retailer that sold a lot of Lindstrand pieces)
Condition heavy wear to the base, a 4mm unintended bubble (see pics), a few scuffs and scratches to the exterior (longest 1 cm)
