Labelled Fratelli Toso latticino fazzoletto set

This is a very nice set, made with alternating canes of glass (melted flat) in fine lattice and fine twisted strands in three variations of patterns.  Every second cane has copper strands in amongst the white.  The copper doesn't show in the photos but it adds a special gleam of gold to the pieces in night light.  This is a set for a small space - a shelf or window sill where you can examine them closely.  They will look particularly fine under normal artificial light.

The quality of the glassmaking is very good.  It's very easy for the glassmaker to end up with lots of tiny bubbles in the glass when he picks up the canes (which are laid out flat) by rolling a clear glass bubble onto them.  This hasn't happened here.

Both pieces are labelled with the stickers used by Murano firm, Fratelli Toso.  The taller bowl has been folded into a flat-topped version of the Murano handkerchief ("fazzzoletto") bowl.
