Big signed 1960 Selandia Per Lutken Holmegaard bowl
The first picture is one of Holmegaard's original print advertisements for this design. This is arguably the classic glass bowl of the era. The organic shape still looks dramatic and stylish today.
The strong rounded edges are a feature of the way these Holmegaard pieces were made. The process, developed by Lutken and his glassblowers, used a wet wooden pin or in some cases, wet wooden bellows. This design was the creation of Lutken and glassmaker Otto Jensen in 1952.
