Signed Jaako Niemi for Nuutajarvi Notsjo 1964 heavy sommerso bowl

We don't know much about Niemi, but this was such a beautiful design, we had to have it.  He seems to have designed at Nuutajarvi Notsjo from at least the mid-50s until the mid-60s.  Nuutajarvi Notsjo is the oldest glass factory in Finland, founded in 1793.

Diameter: 26 cm (10.5 inches)
Weight: 2840 g
Engraved "J Niemi Nuutajarvi Notsjo -64" to the base
Condition: light wear to the base, a polished area of 2mm x 1cm to the edge of the base (probably from manufacture, but could be later), a few unintended bubbles (largest 1mm), a few scratches overall (longest 4mm)
