Vicke Lindstrand 1950s Kosta double-sommerso vase

This is an example of the first Lindstrand design my wife insisted we keep, rather than selling.  I think we'd bought one and sold it.  So we found another one and she wouldn't let me sell it which turns out to have been a smart move.  Prices of all Lindstrand work have increased dramatically since then. 

It's a bold, simple-looking piece except for a very subtle, almost unnoticeable ice-blue sommerso layer outside the dark blue.

Height: 18 cm
Width: 8 cm
Weight: 1100 g
Engraved "Kosta LH1826" to te base
Condition: light wear to the base, three somewhat deeper 2-3mm scratches close to the rim, a few scratches elsewhere (longest 5mm), faint waterstaining (which is not significant on a coloured piece like this).
