Edvin Ohrstrom Orrefors crystal bowl with 'carved' pattern

Look at the fine grooves  in this bowl and think about the work that must have gone into it. These are all engraved by hand on a blown and twisted bowl.  I'm told that there are modern molded pieces which are somewhat similar to this design.  However, it would be impossible to mold the lines in this piece because when you twisted it, you would twist the lines too.  The key to the piece is the contrast between the rotations of the bowl and the vertical lines.

'F' in the Orrefors coding system of the mid-20th century stood for Ohrstrom.

Engraved "Orrefors F-4160/111" to the base
Condition: almost no wear at all to the base (felt dots underneath), a less than 0.5mm white mark inside the glass and a couple of 0.5mm unintended bubbles
