On hold - Signed 1950s Lindstrand Dark Magic Kosta vase

This was designed by Vicke Lindstrand and made by Bengt Heinz with a bent glassblowing pipe which he developed for creating these off-centre pieces. It's shown in the 1959 Kosta catalogue. The colour is called twilight blue.

We sold an unsigned variation of this design last week. This one is signed and labeled and therefore sells for a little more. It means that it's easier to resell and easier to prove it is what you claim it is (though of course there are fake signatures out there, see how to spot a fake piece of vintage art glass).

Height: 12.5 cm (just under 5 inches)
Width: 9 cm
Weight: 700 g
Engraved "Kosta LH 1605" to the base, stickered "Kosta Sweden"
Condition: very light wear to the base, light wear to the sticker, a few less than 0.5mm unintended bubbles, a few small and light scratches elsewhere (longest 2mm)
