Signed Olle Alberius 1970s gold Orrefors paperweight with champagne bubbles and window cutting

This piece has so much happening - gold, bubbles, and cut glass - that you need to look at lots of photos to understand it.  The bubbles in the middle, with the clever cutting (6 concave circles around the upper hemisphere) gives an optic effect of more smaller bubbles than there actually are. There is also a thin gold layer near the base that completes the superb design.

It's designed by Olle Alberius, as denoted by the engraved "A". He worked at Orrefors from 1971 to 1993. The Orrefors' designer codes changed to 2-letter codes in the early 1970s, so the "A" tells us this piece is from the early 70s.

Condition: very light wear to the base (protected by felt dots), wear to the gold parts on a few areas (largest 4mmx1cm)
