Signed 36cm Vicke Lindstrand 1950s spiral Kosta bowl
Merry Christmas to all our customers and friends. It's Christmas day and as my kids woke me two hours before my alarm would have, I have time to list a piece of glass - something I didn't have time for on Christmas eve.
The Italians call the technique used in this 14.5 inch plate "mezze filigrana" - half filigree. The spirals are parallel, rather than twining around each other. This is Vicke Lindstrand's Swedish take on the idea, in purple and white.
Unfortunately, our photos don't show the colours of the lines, but I'll list it anyway, pending some better photos. Here's an example of the same idea, in a vase - Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta 1950s classic striped vase. You'll see that the second photo shows the contrast of the threads.
