1970s signed Vicke Lindstrand Kosta vase with powdered blue net design and cut rim
This is a piece we've never seen before, let alone owned. It's a heavy sommerso vase from near the end of Lindstrand's distinguished career with Kosta. It has a cut rim which is more angular than his flowing, organic pieces of the 50s and 60s. The net pattern will have been created, I think, by putting a stensil over the top of the blown bubble of glass and sprinkling powdered blue glass onto the bubble. The bubble will then have been blown larger and more layers of crystal applied.
