Set of two Per Lutken Holmegaard 'Fionia' bowls
The Fionia bowl is one of Per Lutken's classic 1950s designs. Ice blue was, along with smoke grey, his colour of choice in the 50s. Lutken designed for Holmegaard from 1942 until his death in 1998. He was a genius of glass design.
Like much of his glass, this one looks so simple but, despite that, it's unique. No-one else made glass that looked like his. The flowing, biomorphic shape, the thick rims, and the raised centre, are all typical of his 1950s work.
