1970s Signed Sandeberg lamp for Kosta etched with rams
We've sold several of these over the last few years. They are clearly a design which still looks very contemporary. The rams have been acid-etched in the glass on both the inside and outside, to different depths, creating an overlapping pattern, like a herd of goats travelling side by side, or perhaps the shadows of a single file of goats. Sandeberg specialised in lamps at Kosta. The numbering on these lamps is in the 10000-11000. Kosta moved to 5-digit numbering in the early 70s, so we assume that his pieces are from around that time.
This is a vintage lamp, bought in Sweden. As you can see from the photo, it still works. We've sold such lamps to happy customers all around the world. While it may be possible for people in other countries to buy an adapter that allows them to use the Swedish plug, we strongly recommend that any buyer gets a new plug on it and has someone who knows about these things check that the wiring is legal and safe for their country. The cost of doing this will vary depending on wage rates in your country but should not be significant.
