Signed 1961 orange and black Flygsfors Coquille bowl

We've sold these before in both black with a white design and red with a black design.  Neither Pernilla nor myself can recall seeing an orange and black before.  The black 'V' is painted in thick, raised black glass.  This is from the Flygsfors Coquille series, hence the engraving on the base.  The series, including this bowl, was designed by Paul Kedelv but this 1961 colour variant (from after his departure in 1956) may not be his work.  Colour technology is not as straightforward as non-glassmakers might think.  Flygsfors probably didn't have a vibrant orange like this during Kedelv's time at the firm - we certainly haven't seen it used on earlier Flygsfors pieces, but we have seen it in other 1960s pieces.  My belief is that when the colour became available in the 60s, they reproduced some of their favourite Coquille designs in the new shade.

Condition: heavy wear to the base, a 0.5x5mm colour imperfection underneath, some less than 0.5mm unintended bubbles, a few small scuffs and scratches overall (longest 4mm), a less than 0.5mm burst unintended bubble inside the bowl
