On hold - Stickered Strombergshyttan opalescent vase

Continuing our quest to offer you a range of the most interesting mid-century modernist art glass from Scandinavia and Italy, this is opalescent glass, cased in crystal, from Strombergshyttan of Sweden. The usual way to create opalescent glass was to blow lead powder directly into the glass during the glassmaking process. This is now prohibited in the western world for obvious health and safety reasons, so if you want some, buy vintage.

Condition: light wear aside from a 2x3mm and a handful of less than 0.5mm fleabites, marks from manufacture underneath (see closeup), heavy wear to the sticker, a few scuffs and scratches to the exterior (longest 1.7 cm)
