Signed Vicke Lindstrand zebra vase for Kosta in dark chocolate

This piece provides an opportunity for people to own a set of zebra vases.  This listing is for the smaller of the two.  The larger one is listed separately at Vicke Lindstrand rare brown 1950s zebra vase and is priced at US$1230. 

These are both chocolate brown - a dark brown which may appear black in our backlit photos.  See the last photo for a "browner" view.

The brown is less common than the red in which this was also made.  The less common chocolate brown version seems to have been a collaboration between Vicke Lindstrand and Hanne Dreutler as it in some cases has both designer codes engraved on the base (though not in this case).  Our guess is that this shade, or the use of this shade in this design, was her inspiration, so she was credited as co-designer, but this is only speculation.  The fact that the light doesn't go through it makes it more striking when displayed with backlighting, as we tend to do for sommerso pieces.  The red is signed by Lindstrand.

Condition: expected wear to the base, a 1mm fleabite and a 2mm bruise a couple of centimeters above the base, a couple of 0.5mm unintended bubbles, a couple of scuffs and scratches to the exterior (longest 4mm)
