Kaj Franck 1963 bowl for Nuutajarvi

The finest designs are often simple. A brilliant designer has a vision for a piece which is not very different from thousands of similar bowls, and yet it is different, and unique, and beautiful.

This is a Kaj Franck classic for Nuutajarvi of Finland. The curving, gleaming, cut and polished rim contrasts with the black glass. It's signed and dated on the base.
