1990s Kosta Boda labelled sommerso vase
I sometimes talk in my listings about the fact that simple sommerso vases are still being made, so I thought it might be useful to show people a more modern example from Kosta Boda, and explain the difference in value.
It's a stylish design, as you would expect from Kosta Boda. I like the cutting on the rim. I'm not sure what year this is from, or who designed it, but it still bears a Kosta Boda label. It's not signed. Our guess is that it's probably from sometime in the 1990s. If you're after a stylish sommerso vase at a good price, here it is.
The price is reduced because of two small bruises, but the main reason it's cheaper than, say, a 1950s sommerso vase of the same sort of size and inherent beauty is that it's 40 years too late to be very original in its design.
