Murano-style bull, attributed to FM Konstglas, Ronneby
This is a classic, Murano-style bull design in green and clear crystal. It has no identifying label, however, we bought it in Sweden, and we believe from the look of the glass and the shade of green that it was made there. Suspicion falls on the Murano-trained Marcolin brothers and their Italian colleagues. They came to Sweden to work for Afors, then set up their own business, FM Konstglas in the early 1960s. Early pieces were unsigned but labelled. The labels bore the name of the town, Ronneby, where the firm was based. For this reason, some glass collectors tend to think of it as "FM Ronneby".
Talented glassmakers, they were probably best known for their glass animals. We have sold a number of these over the years - see FM Ronneby listings
