1960s Borgstrom for Aseda tall sommerso vase with original model number and label

As you might suppose, most the vases we sell were designed, not primarily as art, but for putting flowers in! I'm going to list a series of tall, thin vases, designed for one flower (or at least, a small number of flowers). This first one is a design by Bo Borgstrom for Aseda, in Sweden. It's taller than many - it's not that easy to find vases of this type that rise beyond 30cm (12 inches), but the square, heavy base allows this height to be practical.

This is from the late 50s or early 60s.

Labelled "1060/60 Aseda SWEDEN" to the base
Condition: very light wear to the base aside from a handful of 1mm fleabites along the rim of the base and a 1x2mm fleabite underneath the base, a few small scratches elsewhere (longest 4mm), a few small unintended bubbles
