5.5kg 38cm labelled Murano art glass centrepiece with twisted ends

This is one of my mistakes. I bought this very large, heavy centrepiece from a photo on an auction site, hoping it was an unrecognised Archimede Seguso 'Pulveri' design with a smokey effect within layers of gold. I bought it with a couple of other fine vintage pieces. I anticipated listing it for about US$3000. We had sold a little ashtray in this design a few years ago, and even in a small piece, the Pulveri style was magnificent glassmaking - complex and gorgeous.

Sadly, this one is not a Pulveri. Still, it's a very impressive piece, with lots of gold. I'm biting the bullet and taking a loss, listing it at what I think is a very fair price.

It has a generic "made in Italy Murano" label. Although not signed, like most pieces are these days, my feeling is that this is a more recent piece, say from within the last 30 years. A piece of this weight is not a simple matter to make. You can imagine that having 5.5kg (over 12 pounds) of molten glass on the end of a long metal pipe is not something for a novice to try.

Aside from the gold, this bowl has a layer of amethyst and pulled and curled ends.

Condition: A 3mm triangular scrape on the outside, possibly from manufacture. A 6mm x 4mm scrape inside (see 3rd picture). A small bump of clear glass, from manufacturing, on the rim (see 4th picture), and two even smaller bumps inside.
