Signed VENINI diamonte gold twisted vintage art glass lamp

This is a signed Venini lamp, amber with some gold in the glass. It has the 3-line Venini Murano Italia signature used between 1946 and 1965/66. The design is known as "Diamonte" and one correspondent suggested to me that it may have been a vase which was converted to a lamp. However, I think the workmanship is too good for this.  This was made into a lamp in the factory, not afterwards.

Condition: Mint but for expected wear on the base.
