Signed English 1988 studio glass vase - $1 res

I really like the vibrant use of colour - hot tangerine. There is a clear glass casing which is seen to best advantage at the base (please take time to enlarge the photos). We've had it for some time and it's been much admired. It took a while to track the artists down but I had confirmation of its provenance a couple of years ago. This is studio glass from the Glasshouse in England. Signed CW/RW 767 glasshouse 1988. CW is Christopher Williams, one of the stars of the Glasshouse, who is now based in France, while RW is Ron Wilkinson who worked with Williams on this piece. The Glasshouse was established in 1969 in Covent Garden, London by Samuel J (Sam) Herman (US), tutor in glass dept. of Royal College of Art, as a workshop for Royal College of Art students.

Condition: Excellent except for a shallow fleck (4mm x 4mm) on the upper rim. It would be reasonably easy to grind this out. Almost no wear to the base.
